Chocolate can turn white or gray if it is stored too warm or exposed to fluctuating temperatures. It’s not harmful, but it may not look very appealing. We recommend storing chocolate in a dry, cool place (below normal room temperature), though keep in mind that it tastes best when served at room temperature

When we occasionally remove a product from our assortment, it is usually because demand has been too low. Of course, we hope you’ll find a new favorite among our wide range of products

The components in our mixed bags are produced separately and then automatically filled into a dosing machine that releases them into the bags. The mix ratio can unfortunately vary depending on how many pieces of each type end up in the dosing unit. In other words, it isn’t possible to ensure that every bag contains the exact same number of each variety. On average, however, the contents of the bags align well with the intended distribution

Many of our candies get their shapes and appearance by being molded in trays filled with packed cornflour. If the tray isn’t filled properly, or if the impressions in the cornflour collapse, the candy may become deformed. This is completely safe to eat — it’s only a visual defect

Product Ingredient Inquiries

Cloetta has replaced palm oil wherever it has been possible and where better alternatives exist. For the products that still contain palm oil—mainly chocolate and caramel products—we have switched to segregated, traceable palm oil in accordance with RSPO principles. You can read more about palm oil here: Palm oil – Cloetta

We use many different chocolate recipes, each with its own cocoa content. For most of our products, the cocoa percentage for the chocolate portion is stated on the label. For example, we offer a dark chocolate bar with no added sugar that contains 72% cocoa. Our milk chocolate contains at least 25% cocoa.

Accurate information about ingredients, nutritional values, and allergens can be found on the product packaging.

Some of our products contain gelatin, and the source of the gelatin varies. If a product contains gelatin, it is always clearly stated in the ingredient list on the packaging.

“Modified” means that the starch has been processed to make it more suitable for confectionery production. Modified starch may be made from wheat. If that is the case, it will be stated in the ingredient list. If wheat is not listed and only “starch” is mentioned, then the starch is gluten‑free.

The glucose syrup we use is made from starch derived from wheat, corn, or potatoes. During the production process, gluten is removed. The gluten level in the glucose syrup is therefore below 20 ppm and is considered gluten‑free.

The ingredients included in a product are listed on the packaging. The ingredient present in the largest amount appears first, followed by the remaining ingredients in descending order. If an ingredient contains an allergen—such as milk—it is always written out clearly in the ingredient list.

Brand Inquiries

The recipe for our beloved Ahlgrens bilar is a closely guarded secret. Whether the pink, white, and green cars taste the same or not is something we leave for each fan of Ahlgrens bilar to decide for themselves.

The “A” found on Läkerol pastilles and boxes is not only a symbol of top quality but also a tribute to the brand’s founder — Adolf Ahlgren.

The figures in the bag are modeled after the following animals: a monkey, a lion, a squirrel (!), and an elephant. Djungelvrål was created long ago, and unfortunately we don’t know why these specific animals were chosen — but they all belong in the jungle, even the squirrel, which might feel a bit unexpected.
